Have just signed up on Twitter, will be looking for more friends. Found my neice on it and found out what she's been up to. Very nice, looking forward to finding more friends on it.
Twitter is very easy to use and I'm sure customers will find it easy to use too. The library can promote its services and events through Twitter, reminding customers of the events happening and coming up eg, the closure of Pakuranga library from 1st to 9th May for refurbishments.
Just checked my twitter page and discovered a follower who I did not know and have just changed the settings on my twitter page as I want my tweets to be private and only available to twitters that i approve.

Definitely keep your account private if you don't want everyone (spam bots, marketers, idiots) following you and most especially if you want to keep your messages private. Congratulations for completing the twitter activity! This task definitely hasn't been to everyone's taste. Eep.
